We couldn't install hydronic heating until my great friend and I changed the floor in our home

I’ve always wanted floor heating in my house, especially since my kids hate socks and indoor shoes, so they’re always barefoot, and we use a boiler as a heater, and it’s now always that the floors stay warm enough…

When the Heating and Air Conditioning repairman came around for Heating and Air Conditioning service, I asked him for a solution, and he suggested that my great friend and I try a hydronic heating system for the home and cherish radiant floors.

It sounded like a feasible plan; all I needed to do was go to the heating contractor and see what they had in stock. I was interested in the heat and A/C product because it sounded like the cure to my pain point, then at the heating dealership, I explained what I wanted for my home and why, and they asked me to understand the type of floor I had, then unfortunately, it did not fall within the list of floors suitable for radiant floors, so my great friend and I couldn’t proceed with the project as planned… They recommended a hybrid heating system that combines a heat pump and an oil boiler. We couldn’t continue with boiler service, and changing our entire floor was an intimidating project to attempt before my great friend and I dealt with our comfort issues. As my great friend and I waited to change our flooring, the installation of the hybrid system appeared to be the easiest. I learned more about radiant floors and realized we’d need a boiler to go with it. I was concerned about boiler repair and safety, so I decided to abandon the idea because we had two boilers to worry about until my great friend and I were ready to do everything without having to worry about it, but for the boiler/heater installation, my great friend and I opted.
