There are many reasons that I adore living in a warmer temperature; Keeping cool is easier than staying moderate in dire cold, then i just do not know how people up north do it.
I would much rather deal with the heat than put up with cold that could be deadly! Recently but, I discovered there has another way that living in a cold temperature can be deadly.
If you do not maintain your heating system plus pay attention to its age, it could make you sick or kill you! Let me explain. I have a friend way up north that I talk to on a respected basis, however she was complaining of flu-like symptoms recently. She explained that it seemed to be going around her household that winter, then the sickness got worse… At the same time her family was experiencing this sickness, they were having heating system complications. An Heating, Ventilation and A/C professional eventually realized that there was a leak in the gas heater! My friend plus her family were experiencing carbon monoxide poisoning! They had forgotten to install carbon monoxide detectors in their home. All of my appliances plus my Heating, Ventilation and A/C system are electric, for the express purpose that I never want to have to deal with gas anything, plus this was one of the reasons! Needless to say, my friend substituted the old heating system really plus made sure that carbon monoxide detectors were installed along with the new heating system she purchased. Again, the worst that can happen to me Is that my cooling system stops working, however it would never harm me! Sheesh!
