There are numerous reasons that I cherish living in a warmer temperature! Keeping cool is easier than staying warm in extreme cold, then i just do not know how people up north do it.
I would much rather deal with the heat than put up with cold that could be deadly! Recently however, I discovered there is another way that living in a cold temperature can be deadly.
If you do not maintain your boiler plus pay attention to its age, it could make you sick or kill you! Let me explain. I have a neighbor way up north that I talk to on a official basis! She was complaining of flu-like symptoms recently. She explained that it seemed to be going around his condo that winter, then the sickness got worse, and at the same time his family was experiencing this sickness, they were having boiler concerns. An Heating, Ventilation and A/C specialist eventually realized that there was a leak in the gas heater! My neighbor plus his family were experiencing carbon monoxide poisoning! They had forgotten to install carbon monoxide detectors in their home. All of my appliances plus my Heating, Ventilation and A/C system are electric, for the express purpose that I never want to have to deal with gas anything, plus this was one of the reasons! Needless to say, my neighbor replaced the aged boiler unquestionably plus made sure that carbon monoxide detectors were installed along with the modern boiler he bought. Again, the worst that can happen to me Is that my cooling system stops working, however it would never harm me! Sheesh!
