The last two houses we have rented had mold in their Heating, Ventilation and A/C systems.
- The mold was primarily in the HVAC duct plus it was gross.
It also made the whole family sick. We were diligent with keeping on top of the Heating, Ventilation and A/C service plus everything however these were super seasoned houses with super seasoned Heating, Ventilation and A/C systems. That is why I was distraught when we decided to buy our own home. I thought it might have a moldy Heating, Ventilation and A/C system too plus we would have to pay thousands of dollars to repair it, however you can’t just option up plus transfer when you own a dwelling like you can when you rent one. We looked at a bunch of houses before settling on one that we all appreciated. Each child will have their own room now. It has a remodeled kitchen plus a fireplace; But the best part is that the household does not have a forced air Heating, Ventilation and A/C system. So no HVAC duct or parts that can get moldy. Instead it has a ductless mini split system. All of the main working components are outside. The inside parts are up on the wall plus not in a utility closet. There is no HVAC duct. It only has small hoses that lead from the outside to the inside. The whole ductless mini split system could be inspected by us daily if we wanted to make sure there is no mold. I truly like that. Additionally, we hired someone to come into the household plus use a mold detector already plus they said the household is clean. I hope we get the house.
