My husband and I finally found our dream home.
We did not want anything extravagant. We were looking for a small, cottage type house. I have always loved small houses. Something about them makes them feel more cozy and homey to me. My husband wanted a smaller house as well, so when we came across the house that we are in now, we knew it was perfect for our family. When we first moved into the house, I told my husband that I really wanted a fireplace. There was a fireplace in the house already, but it needed a lot of work before it could be usable. We decided that tearing it out and buying a new one would be our best option. My husband did not want to have to deal with chopping wood all of the time, so he decided that a gas or electric fireplace would be the best choice for us which was totally fine with me. I just love the ambiance that a fireplace brings to a room. We ended up buying an electric fireplace because our friends told us that they wish that they would have bought an electric one because their propane fireplace put off a slight odor. We used the electric fireplace for about four months before I ruined it. I have no idea how, but somehow, I got something wet while cleaning the fireplace that I should not have gotten wet, and now it is not lighting properly. I am so upset with myself, but my husband keeps reassuring me that he will probably be able to fix it for little to no money. I really hope he can fix it because I love my electric fireplace!
