I never thought that our condo was chilly before, however now that my buddy and I have a fireplace in the dining room, it is super hot plus toasty in our house, however well, at least downstairs is super hot plus toasty, however i get chilly upstairs in our entryway sometimes, although I know that is because the windows in our entryway are seasoned plus tend to lose quite a bit of heat.
I genuinely only wanted a fireplace for aesthetic reasons, however after getting it, I realized that I genuinely cherish the warmth that it brings to the condo as well, and to me, there is nothing more comforting than walking into a hot condo after working hard all afternoon.
My hubby has even commented on how much he likes the condo being a bit warmer. My buddy and I were going to get a proper seasoned wood burning fireplace, however my buddy and I changed our minds last minute. My hubby thought that he would not mind splitting wood to keep up with the demand of the fireplace, but he ended up getting promoted at work, plus now, he works more hours which means he has less time to split wood, and he decided that getting an electric fireplace would genuinely be best for us. I am gleeful that he did because I was not looking forward to the mess that carrying wood into the condo would make. I am sure that the electric fireplace is not nearly as hot as a wood fireplace would be, however it is much less service. I know it sort of balances out the issue, and plus, my buddy and I genuinely do not need the fireplace to give off any more heat than our electric one does. It makes our condo the perfect temperature.
