A problem with the furnace

A few weeks ago, I was promoted at work & I was happy! Not only did I receive a spend money increase, however I was given a private office space, and the office was what I was most happy about since I’d most often worked in a shared space with everyone else, i was also happy because the private office had its own heat & air system & control machine that I would have access to whenever I pleased, one of the worst things about the shared office space was that there was no control over the control system.

One of the employers had access to the control machine & it was kept safe with the help of a clear protective box so that nobody could change it. One of the first things that I did when I moved all of my things into the office was change the control machine settings because I was able to. I adjusted the oil furnace up a few degrees & I heard the heat trying to enter my space, and as I was sitting at my desk though, I noticed that the oil furnace would kick on & only run for a moment before shutting off on me once more. The temperature of the office wasn’t increasing like I had set it to. I walked about the room & tried to find the problem, when I noticed that there was a large reason the temperature wasn’t increasing. The back of my desk was covering the air vent on the wall so the air couldn’t enter! This was confusing the heated furnace & causing complications. Thankfully, once I moved the desk to a totally different position, the oil furnace started heating the room properly again.
