My mother is 81-years-old. She remains impressively physically active. She looks & seems far younger than her years. While her peers have difficulty getting around & are always in the hospital for knee and hip updatements, my mom still mows her own lawn. She digs weeds out of her gardens, drives her car & likes swimming & playing with her great-grandkids. For as long as I can remember, my mother has worked out & been exceptionally active. She continues to make time for her fitness regiment every single day. She concentrates mainly on stretches & balance exercises but also completes lunges, crunches & pushups. She often goes on long walks. My mother has been very conscientious about eating plenty of fruits & vegetables. She has never smoked cigarettes, drank much coffee or been interested in fast foods. She’s never carried extra weight. I look at her as an inspiration. She sets an example. She has shown me the importance and benefits of taking care of my body. I adhere to healthy eating habits, and my morning workout is a priority. Even if I’m busy, exhausted, stressed, sore or feeling lazy, I devote a full hour to my physical fitness. I have three children who also focus on an active lifestyle. All of my kids workout every day. They are dedicated to a healthy lifestyle. Our entire family likes to take vacations together. We typically find each other at the fitness center of the hotel, first thing in the morning. Any excursions we plan are usually physically demanding. We might rent bikes or go kayaking, zip lining or hiking. We go on long walks, runs and enjoy snorkeling. I believe that my kids protect themselves from the majority of medical ailments because they take such great care of their bodies. They can expect to live longer & enjoy a better quality of life. I hope they teach their children the same physical fitness habits.
