I stopped for a drink and ran into my dad

The last few weeks have been extremely hot and uncomfortable.

It’s the middle of summer and July is one of the hottest months during the year.

I work outside most of the time on heating and air conditioning system problems. Even though some heating and air conditioning equipment is indoors, the bulk of my work does not include climate control. Monday I was working on an AC repair and I took a break at lunch time. I decided to go to the gas station to buy a hot dog, bag of chips, and a Gatorade. I left the AC repair and I was gone for 30 minutes. While I was at the gas station buying snacks, I ran into my dad. He was getting gas and a cup of coffee. I hadn’t seen my dad in at least a week or two, so we sat and chatted for a couple of minutes. The time got away from me and I took longer than I expected. The customer didn’t seem to be bothered by the fact that I took an hour for lunch instead of 30 minutes. In fact, the customer didn’t seem to be bothered At All by the speed I was moving. The woman was not in a hurry, unlike most of my customers. I usually get bombarded with questions every hour. Our customers honestly don’t think it takes all day to install a new heating or air conditioning system, but this type of work takes accuracy and precision. I always take my time when I work with mechanical and electrical equipment.
