This has to be planned

Did you know that when you are drawing up the blueprints to build a house that you had to include how and where the ductwork would be laid for a central heating and air conditioning system? It didn’t used to be like that back in the day.

  • But today with central heat and a/c being the standard way to heat and cool a home, this has become standard when building a house! I did not know this until a friend of mine who works for a construction company told me about it.

I am not sure how we even got on the subject of heating and air conditioning systems in new homes, but we ended up talking about it. He said that the construction company actually has to lay the ductwork sometimes instead of a heating and air conditioning company. That really shocked me! I guess since ductwork is actually not all about knowing the ins and outs of central heating and cooling it would be something that labor workers could do just as well as a bunch of certified heat and a/c specialists if they are taught how to do it off the bat. I do not know anything bout either construction or central heating and air conditioning systems, so I would never be able to do either! But because my home is already a home, I would just need to call the local heating and cooling company to have them build and lay ductwork if I ever wanted to make an extension of my central heating and air conditioning system to a house add on room or something like that.
