We don’t like being responsible for everything that needs fixing

Among the things that we dislike the most about owning a condo is the fact that we’re always the ones responsible for getting things fixed.

If we spill wine on the carpet, we’re the ones that have to get the stain out.

If we need groceries, we’re the ones who have to get the fridge stocked up. Well, the other day our HVAC system broke down on us for the first time since we moved. Because of this, we were forced to reach out to an HVAC supplier for assistance and had a pretty annoying experience. When we first called over for help this lady answered and was quite rude. After some chatter she booked us to have an HVAC specialist come out to our condo for 2pm the time slot. 2pm rolls around the next day, we hear nothing. We try to call them at around 2:30 to see if there was any miscommunication, and all we get is a voicemail. Then 2 days later while we’re out with friends we get another call from the rude HVAC receptionist who tells us that they have an HVAC tech at our condo who has been waiting for us to answer the door. When we told her this wasn’t the time that we picked out, she said she would be canceling the appointment unless we were willing to pay a fee for being “late” to our own appointment! We have never deleted a company’s number and found a replacement so fast. Be aware of these scam ridden HVAC companies out there!
