I was in the grocery store last week when I heard someone calling my name.
I looked behind me and saw a man, and he smiled.
I felt uncomfortable because I didn’t know this man, and I wasn’t used to being flirted with. I went on with my shopping until I heard someone call my name, and he was closer. When I turned around, I had the faintest hint of recognition, but I just couldn’t place the man. I finally asked him if he was sure he had the right person. He looked upset that I didn’t remember him and then he brightened. He asked if I remembered when I had the HVAC tech come to my home about two weeks ago. He held out his hands. I didn’t recognize the HVAC tech out of uniform, but I was pleasantly surprised. We stood in the middle of the grocery aisle talking when someone asked us to please let him pass. The HVAC technician asked if I wanted to have some lunch with him. I looked at the groceries in my cart and.smiled. I told him I had no problems with my HVAC system, but if he wanted, he could come to my house in about an hour, and I would make us lunch. He offered to bring the wine. I couldn’t believe how much it was to have lunch with the HVAC tech. That’s when I realized I didn’t know his name. I was really enjoying talking to him, but I would like to call him by name instead of my HVAC technician.
