I don’t suppose if I should try to update our outdated oil furnace system or just go ahead & replace the whole thing; My partner & I are actually arguing about it, but he’s the kind of guy who likes to fix things & keep them going for as long as humanly possible, however i understand that, & I even appreciate that about him most of the time.
However, when it comes to the oil furnace in our house, I suppose appreciate it might actually be time for us to go for an update even though our oil furnace might still have a little bit of life in it, but the outdated electric oil furnace that the two of us have in our beach house was here when the two of us bought the place 10 years ago.
I have no system how long it had been in the beach house before that, however as far as the two of us know, it could have been here for twenty years or more! And I will readily admit that it has done well for us over the past decade. However, at this point, there have been so several leaps forward in heating & cooling technology that I suppose the two of us need to update to a newer oil furnace. I keep telling our partner that if the two of us were to update our new oil furnace to a newer 1, it will end up saving us lots of currency on our heating bills in the years to come, whenever I mention how it will save us currency on our heating bills, I can consistently see him waffling on his decision to keep the outdated oil furnace. I suppose that saving currency is consistently the way to get to him! I suppose that it is just a matter of time before he comes around to our way of thinking. I am pretty sure that by next winter, I will have our nice new oil furnace set up in the basement.
