Winter preparations are essential, especially with Heating and A/C

I’d much rather be prepared than caught with my pants down when severe winter weather arrives.

  • This is what motivates me to prepare for bad weather before the season arrives.

It’s too late to deal with heating problems when the thermometer is already buried in snow! So, I work through the summer and fall to prepare for the coming weeks ahead. We have a splendid, reliable gas furnace that efficiently heats our home. If, for some reason, there’s something wrong with it, I’d want time to fix it and not have to order an emergency heating repair. The gas furnace does a good job for us, but we also have another heating source for backup – an old-school, natural source, a wood stove. I also have a plastic shell that goes over our HVAC, which keeps falling ice and the weight of snow off its delicate parts, and off the fan.
