Life as an a/c worker

Working in an air conditioning company meant that there were days when one could not go a day without painkillers, especially for my back.

On this day, my team and I worked on an air conditioner installation with extensive ductwork.

It was new construction, meaning we would have to set up everything about a new air conditioning install from scratch. Homes are easier to work on than significant commercial buildings that require more time and more a/c workers than the former. The fatigue that came with such projects was something else. As an air conditioning supplier and service provider, a/c repair, a/c care, and a/c service are what I deal with most days. Some seasons such as winter and summer, are busier since air conditioners overheat trying to cool homes. They are the air conditioning business’ most active months. One Friday afternoon, when I was about to call it a day, a call came in from a homeowner who wanted to reschedule her a/c care plan and also to check if the climate control system was communicating well with the digital thermostat. When I got there, the lady who opened the door led me to the backyard, which was set up and decorated for a party. The lady told me that I was too early and the party would start later. She had mistaken me for someone else, so I told her I was the a/c representative she had called earlier for air conditioning maintenance. I discovered that the thermostat had an issue which I fixed. I also replaced the a/c filter with the one she had ordered to improve indoor air quality.
