Having a conversation about what I want means that nothing is going to get left out
I really want to upgrade the desk in my bedroom. I work from home and totally online. I have spruced up my bedroom to make that working space nicer. I sprung for a new bedspread, pillows, artwork, faux plants, and a rug. That is all to make my background on video calls look nicer. Now what I need is a new desk. My current desk is ridiculously small. I can’t seem to put anything on it. I also have one drawer and two open shelves that do nothing for me. I really want something that can store a lot and be a wide space. I would love to have dual monitors as well to increase efficiency. When I have looked around online nothing has appealed to me. Usually the desks boast open shelving. With two small boys that are walking around, having my stuff readily accessible would be an issue. I also don’t want a giant desk that barely fits the space. Nothing baby sized, but nothing too large. I realized I wanted a custom size so I started looking for custom furniture builders. Having a piece crafted out of hardwood means it will be of quality. Having a conversation about what I want means that nothing is going to get left out. It will be expensive but for all the hours I spend at my desk, I feel I deserve to have something nice and new. The desk will always be a piece that is vital in the home. Even when I am done working I bet one of my sons will want it for his dorm room or apartment someday.
