I love getting new things! I try not to buy new things very often because I know that I really do not need anything, but every once in awhile, my husband tells me to go and buy something that I have wanted for awhile.

I just asked him to restrain me from buying things all of the time. If I were left to myself, I would by myself into a whole lot of debt. Needless to say, I am definitely the spender in our relationship, but I am so thankful that my husband understands that and is willing to help me cut down on my spending but still lets me enjoy buying new things every once in awhile. This past month was one of my spending months, and I had been wanting an electric fireplace for some time. We have a furnace that heats the house just fine, but I really love the ambiance that a fireplace brings. Some friends of mine owned a propane fireplace, and I visited their house one time. The smell of the propane was overwhelming, and although the fireplace looked nice, it was not for me. I just could not stand the strong smell of the propane. I told my husband that if we were to ever get a fireplace it would be an electric one so that I did not have to deal with the smell. I finally got my electric fireplace last month, and I cannot tell you how much I love it! It puts off a lot of heat, and makes our home feel even more cozy.

My husband, Richard, and I have been trying to help our grandson for some time now. Our grandson’s name is Jason, and he has had a rough life. His mom was murdered when he was only ten, and his father, our son, is busy trying to provide for them. Jason does not have much time with his dad, so my husband and I have been trying to convince him to come and move in with us. After about two years of asking, Jason finally agreed to move in with us. We will be able to spend more time with him, so it will be good for him. Before he moves in, we need to find a way to heat our basement. We have actually tried several different things to heat our basement, and none of them have worked very well. The last thing that we tried was a couple space heaters, but they did not put off quite enough heat to keep the basement at the right temperature. I think if we would have used a few more heaters, it would have worked, but we only had two space heaters available at the time. My husband found an electric fireplace that is supposed to heat up to 1,000 ft., so we are going to try that next. We have a one year money back guarantee on it, so we do not have to worry about wasting any money on it. Jason will have his own little apartment down there if we can figure out how to heat it. I hope we can figure it out soon.

I prefer to cook and bake. It is just my thing. My kids know to look for me in the entryway because that is where I am most of the time. My mom did not do much cooking for us as children. My dad cooked a little bit, however my pal and I mostly ate frozen brunchs and such things. I really did not want my kids to grow up eating junk like that, so I taught myself how to cook and bake when I was a teenager. I fell in prefer with it and started creating my own recipes. I have written over one hundred recipes so far, and I plan on continuing. The only time that I used to have trouble cooking and baking was in the summertime. My entryway would get so sizzling that I just could not rest to be in there. I kept telling myself that I was going to buy an air conditioner for the entryway, but I never did. I know that I complained to my hubby enough that he decided to get me one. He got household from toil a few days ago, and he had an air conditioner with him. I was surprised at first, and I asked him what the air conditioner was for. He thought that I was just picking, so he didn’t answer me. I asked again, and he was surprised that I didn’t know. He told me that it was for the entryway, and I literally screamed with excitement. I have been using the air conditioner for the past couple of afternoons, and wow, it makes cooking and baking during the sizzling Summer months so much easier.

I cherish to cook plus bake.

It is just my thing.

I love my children so much, and I entirely spoil them a little more than I should, but I can’t help myself! Our oldest son, Brett, just went off to school a couple of weeks ago, then nothing could have prepared me for what that felt like. My friend and I still have two others at home, however it is not the same without Brett here. I absolutely miss him a lot. I may have went a little overboard when buying things for him for school. He even told me that I needed to stop buying him things because he was afraid that he would have no place to put them in the dorm room. One thing that I made sure to buy though was a space heater. I called and asked permission of course. I was upset that they would not let him use a space boiler in his dorm room because it would cost them more currency, however they said that as long as his roommate was okay with it, he could use one, however brett has used a space boiler in his room for years, then ever since he was a baby, he has gotten cold at night. I definitely took him to the dentist about it multiple years ago, however they could not figure out why he got so cold at night. His family room was constantly the same temperature as the rest of the house, and he was nice while in the afternoon. It is strange, however it is just what he has to deal with. I am so thrilled that I was able to buy him a nice space boiler for his dorm room. Now, he will stay nice and moderate and will be able to get some needed sleep.

I never thought that our home was freezing before, however now that my pal and I have a fireplace in the kitchen, it is super moderate and toasty in our house.

Well, at least downstairs is super moderate and toasty, but i get cold upstairs in our family room periodically, but I assume that is because the windows in our family room are old and tend to lose quite a bit of heat.

I absolutely only wanted a fireplace for aesthetic reasons, however after getting it, I realized that I absolutely love the warmth that it brings to the home as well, but to me, there is nothing more comforting than walking into a moderate home after working taxing all afternoon, however my fiance has even commented on how much he likes the home being a bit warmer. My friend and I were going to get a usual old wood burning fireplace, however my pal and I changed our minds last minute. My fiance thought that he would not mind chopping wood to keep up with the demand of the fireplace, although he ended up getting promoted at work, and now, he works more hours which means he has less time to split wood… He decided that getting an electric fireplace would entirely be best for us. I am thrilled that he did because I was not looking forward to the mess that carrying wood into the home would make. I am sure that the electric fireplace is not nearly as moderate as a wood fireplace would be, however it is much less service. I assume it sort of balances out the issue! Plus, my pal and I absolutely do not need the fireplace to provide off any more heat than our electric one does. It makes our home the perfect temperature.
