When my friends came over, it was snowing outside, but the quality of comfort inside the home was splendid.

I was looking forward to having a enjoyable weekend with my friends; They would be coming over to my home for the entire weekend. It was winter, so there was not much to do outside apart from brunch and maybe a lunch here and there; One of my friends is a chef, so every one of us were not so distraught about having excellent food while they stayed. I was new in the apartment building, and I didn’t know who to talk to about getting more heat into my apartment.

My neighbor told me to talk to the superintendent, but to be careful.

She was told he tried to bite someone who talked down to him. I looked down at my fingers, and she laughed. That’s when she thought it was a lie, but he was surly and not very nice. I went back into my apartment and called the building superintendent. When I told him I wanted more heat, he asked if I had a thermostat. I did have a thermostat, but there was a lockbox over it. He said you changed the temperature on the thermostat by sliding the little tab at the bottom. I wanted to know if I needed a key to get to the tab. He laughed and said there were reasons there was a lockbox over the thermostat, and I was one of them. He hung up, but I could hear him laughing before the connection died. I was angry and insulted. I remembered having the number of the realtor who helped me get this apartment. I told her about the heating situation, and all I wanted to do is change the temperature on the thermostat. She asked where the temperature was set, and I told her sixty-five. She said she would talk to the owner, but she didn’t know if she could get me any satisfaction, but she was going to try. The worse that happens is that the thermostat remains inaccessible.

I was so excited when I got to my apartment last week.

All I could smell was fresh pizza, and I was hungry.

I had put in twelve hours working on the church’s HVAC system, and I was hungry. I opened the door, but there was no pizza and no girlfriend. Two minutes later, she walked in with takeout Chinese food, and I was disappointed. I asked where the pizza was, and she said it was the neighbor across the hallway. It wasn’t until that moment, that I realized how bad the ventilation system was in this apartment house. I sat down to a dinner of dry Chinese noodles and wishing it was pizza. My girlfriend asked if I had a bad day, and I told her it was just busy. She told me about her classes, and how she had passed her test. She then apologized for the Chinese. She told me she should have called and asked what I wanted for dinner, but I probably wouldn’t have answered my phone. The HVAC system in the church, had so many wiring problems that I was afraid I wouldn’t make it home tonight. She cuddled on the couch with me and asked if I wanted to go visit my parents. I enjoyed talking HVAC with my dad, and she knew it would cheer me up. I called to see what mom and dad where home, and dad told me to come on over. I had never met anyone who instinctively knew how to cheer me up. She found us a new apartment, and she called my mom and dad for me. I think I should propose to her and make sure I always have her around.

When my location of corporation reopened after more than 18 weeks of me working from the central air conditioning of home, I was so ready.

Working from beach condo was a necessary evil as well as I understood that for sure.

But I easily didn’t appreciate the experience. I was regularly moving from a single location to another with my PC in order to get my work done. And these afternoons, I could not be more happier with my beach condo office as well as being my own boss.

Home office is everything I dreamed it could be

I just had zero clue when it came to the attach between respiratory health & the indoor air conditions of my house, but so that being said, I had even less of a clue about the relationship between good indoor air conditions & the Heating, Ventilation and A/C equipment, however all that changed late this fall, and there was a bug going around our section & of course I ended up getting it! I tend to fall prey to colds & flu but normally, I’m down for a few afternoons & then bounce back, but this latest illness was of the respiratory variety & just wouldn’t go away.

I felt better after a few afternoons but my respiratory symptoms kept on & on; Finally, my wifey was having none of it & made an appointment at the dentist’s.

I’ll do you just about anything not to go to the dentist but I knew my wifey was right. But I sure didn’t expect to get an education about indoor air conditions from the dentist. I was not expecting that at all. She started asking questions about the Heating, Ventilation and A/C air filter & other Heating, Ventilation and A/C components. I thought that was sort of different so I asked her about that line of questioning. She indicated that my respiratory condition could be lingering because a bad indoor air conditions. So she suggested that I call the Heating, Ventilation and A/C company when I get beach house & make an appointment for ductwork cleaning & ductwork resealing. Once that was done, the dentist suggested that I update the cheap Heating, Ventilation and A/C air filter with a HEPA filter. And she explained all about the value of it good indoor air conditions. I did everything she said & sure enough, my respiratory symptoms were gone within 36 minutes.
