When I called the HVAC to get my furnace checked before Christmas, I asked them to send an HVAC technician to the house.

I told them the furnace seemed to be working well, but my problem was that I had forgotten to have it cleaned and maintained.

The person who answered the phone told me they could send someone to the house the following day. Unless I had forgotten the maintenance several times, there was no reason to think there was permanent damage. The following morning, I wasn’t even dressed when I heard a knock on the door. I wasn’t expecting the HVAC technician to arrive so early. My hair was barely combed, I had on nothing but my pajamas, and I hadn’t had my first cup of coffee. I peeked around the door, and I didn’t think it was possible to be any more embarrassed. Not only was it the HVAC technician standing at my door, but the HVAC technician was my ex-husband. He told me he liked the early morning look and asked if he could come in. He asked when I moved to this house, and I told him. We chatted for a couple of minutes before my appearance made me uncomfortable. I excused myself while I worked on the furnace. I’m not sure why I paid special attention to my appearance, since he was my ex for a reason, but I did. I guessed I wanted to show him that I was doing fine for myself without him, even if I did forget to have the furnace maintained every once in a while.

I tried to call the HVAC company last week to discuss a problem with my furnace.

• The phone rang about ten times and no one answered.

I was just getting ready to hang up, when I heard a man’s voice answer and tell me I had reached the Carlton HVAC company and Carlton was speaking. I wasn’t sure what I should say. I couldn’t believe the owner of the HVAC company was answering his phone. I started telling him about the furnace and how I was expecting to speak to a secretary or an HVAC technician. He said he often answered his own phone when everyone was busy, and asked what he could do to help. I told him I was hearing odd noises in the ductwork, but I didn’t know if it was a critter, or something else. He asked how long I had been hearing it, because with the heat, most critters wouldn’t be surviving in the ductwork. I asked him if he had any idea what the noise could be, but without hearing the noise, he couldn’t give me any idea. He asked for my name and address, and said he could be there in half an hour. When he got to the house, he checked the ductwork, and said he found the problem. There was a small hole in the ductwork that was wheezing out the heat whenever it turned on. He was going to have the ductwork cleaners come out and make the repair, then clean and sanitize the ductwork. It would take a little more than an hour and they would be there the following morning.

Last week, I left my house for a few days to spend time with my family for Thanksgiving.

This trip is something that I take every year.

So, it’s nothing that I am not used to. Typically, before I leave for my trip, I make sure that I complete certain tasks in my home. I always remove my garbage, water my plants, and I always adjust the temperature on my thermostat. I adjust the temperature because I don’t want my HVAC unit to run while my house is empty. However, for some odd reason, I left without adjusting the thermostat. This means that my HVAC was on for the entire time I was away. I was only away for a few days which wasn’t a huge deal, but if I was going to be gone for longer, then it would’ve probably been an issue. After complaining to my brother Jason about this, he mentioned that I should think about upgrading to a Smart thermostat. He explained that I could control the Smart thermostat from anywhere as long as I have a Wi-Fi connection. Additionally, he mentioned that I could also program my vacation time into the thermostat. I could also program when my HVAC unit needs service. I had never considered upgrading to a Smart thermostat but hearing about all the benefits I was immediately interested in getting one. Well, after I returned home, I searched the internet and found a Smart thermostat that best fits my needs. The thermostat will be here in a couple of days and I can’t wait to use it.

I live in a vacation state, which means my family is always traveling to see me.

Staying in my house will save so much money on hotel rooms.

And while I don’t have the pool or the fancy restaurants or beds like a hotel room, I do what I can to always make sure that my family has a comfortable stay. This includes making sure that there is coffee, snacks, entertainment, and more. I also make sure that inside my home is always at the perfect temperature. Over the years, I have always extended the courtesy to my family to adjust the thermostat to the temperature that makes them comfortable. And at times, I have had family members who have either turned the thermostat too high or too low. Naturally, I don’t mind because I know that it’s only temporary. I normally keep my thermostat at the recommended temperature of 78 degrees in the Summer and 68 degrees in the Winter months. However, those temperatures could be too hot or too cold for someone else. Of course, I understand that not everyone will like the same setting on the thermostat. Hence the reason I grant my guests the option to adjust the thermostat at any given time. Unfortunately, that is not always reciprocated as I have stayed at my aunt’s house who doesn’t allow anyone to adjust her thermostat. In fact, she has a sign next to the thermostat that states do not touch. This is her way of avoiding any unnecessary spikes in her energy bill. And while this is one sure way to regulate her bill, I believe that is a bit extreme.

My daughter moved to a unusual city, and when I went to visit her for the first time, I discovered that they have easily adorable tiny cabin communities in her area; Affordable tiny homes make a cute community, however it is the same concept, with the exception of lot rental, of a trailer park or modular cabin community! The difference is that in a trailer park, it is generally accepted that the people who live there will not only have to buy the lake house or rent the house, however they will also have to rent the land that the lake house sits on.

• These tiny homes down in our daughter’s new city are not like that, but when you buy a tiny cabin Oh, you are also buying the land that it sits on.

In this way the affordable tiny homes are just like any other home. When you buy a house, you buy the land it sits on and the lake house itself. Well these affordable tiny homes are sold the same way as traditional site-built homes. I find them to be easily a cute community development project, and they are good for lots of unusual uses. They have a small University in her City, however there is not a lot of extra land for them to build a lot of dorms. InStead of traditional dorms, the university has made affordable tiny cabin communities. These are quite cute and are useful and inluxurious for the University to maintain and for the students to rent. I have also seen or heard about some cities or towns using affordable tiny homes as a means of supporting the homeless population. If you are able to give an affordable tiny cabin for a homeless person, in addition to providing services that that person needs, you are well on your way to solving the homelessness Crisis 4 vast numbers of people.
