I think I need to push myself a bit and take the hour train ride to the city to play some music on the open mics.

I know they have a lot of mics around different local businesses and my buddy and I can take the train there a couple times a week and get some traction going.

We’re doing nothing here but playing in the empty streets a couple times a week and getting older. I want to feel some passion in my life like I did when I was doing standup comedy. It’s time to live again! HVAC repair is good for my money’s bank account but it isn’t doing much for my spirit’s bank account. I’m going to make some calls, or emails, and get us some gigs lined up in the next few days. My HVAC company closes each night at 6pm so I have plenty of time to get to these mics and make some waves. I think our band has a good sound and I think people should hear it so that we can gauge how we are doing. I am still working full time at the heating and cooling business but I think we could make some good money with the songs we are making and do it in a pretty short amount of time. I could probably get us on stage tonight as my one friend runs an open mic night in the big city an hour away. I will do some heat pump work today on a couple central HVAC systems and then take that train ride for my soul.

I’m not sure how solar works in parts of the world with cold weather and gloomy skies. I think you need to see the sun for the solar panels to collect the heat, as they rely on the radiative heating effects of the sun to warm the black surfaces. Most of the heating devices that I have seen which use solar, utilize black copper tubing to heat the water or air inside. I guess that is how the heating part works when it comes to solar heating devices. I would like to have one now because my central unit just costs way too much to run on a regular basis during these cold winter days. There is no sun though so I don’t even think solar would be an option today, unless the solar can somehow store the heat that was collected previously. But I really don’t know how it works as I am not an HVAC professional or anything like that. So yeah, today is a cold one and I am going to work for a couple of hours and then ride my bike to go visit my friend who lives in a little campervan. She doesn’t have any gas heating in the van right now because she had to order a nut for the gas line. I have it because she had to get it mailed to my flat because she has no address, living in the van and all. She must be cold though because of no HVAC system and the temps this morning getting close to the freezing zone.

After reading that the heating in my flat costs $3 an hour to run, I went to the thrift store and bought some winter clothes! Now I am under a blanket with my warm clothes on all to avoid running the electric heating in my flat.

How sad is that, that we need to resort to this way of living because we can’t afford to run the heating a bit.

Actually, a bit is all I am running it right now. I run it for 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening and that is all I can allow myself right now until I get a flatmate. Once I have my HVAC pro flatmate in two weeks I can run the heat a bit more and not have to starve myself because I have no money for food. I’ll make it through this winter but I need my cryptos to really take off by next summer so I can have some money for cooling then. I think I will reward myself on this cold day with a couple grilled cheese sandwiches. I just need to run to two local businesses first to get the bread and the cheese. I may buy them both at the same local business but it depends on the cost of the cheese. This store is pricey as it has a big air conditioned store that they are trying to keep cool for the produce they sell. The other store is a normal store and doesn’t keep the place ice cold, so the food is a bit cheaper.

I have a small flat and got a power bill for two months and it was over $600. That was during the summer and now it is winter and I heard that heating is like three times the amount that cooling is, so how much is my power bill going to be this time with the heating running each day? I actually haven’t been using the heating much because I am afraid of what the bill might be. I read online that it costs about $3 per hour while you run your heat. So if I ran it four hours a day during the cold months it would add $720 to my bimonthly bill? So that means my power bill would be about $1000 if I ran my central HVAC system to heat the house. If that is the case then I am going to have to ration the heating each day and only use it for an hour max. Then it would be $180 more for the two months, which is doable for me but an hour of heating is not much help! I will go to the heating corp and ask them how much they think it costs to see if I am right. I should look at the make and model number of my A/C unit outside to see if I can get some info that way. Maybe I can look online and see how much power my HVAC system’s heating uses per hour and calculate it that way. I will probably just buy an efficient space heater instead.

New HVAC systems

When I get back from my trip to the good old US of A, I am going to get work done on the ductwork of my HVAC system and get it back up to snuff.

I haven’t had anything done to it for years and I bet it is ready for some TLC. I could do the work myself but I am pretty busy with other stuff, so I am going to contact the pros when I am back and have them do it for me. I used to do a lot of duct cleaning when I worked for my dad’s HVAC business a long time ago and would rather have someone else do the dirty work. I think they will give me a reasonable price for the work considering I used to work at the business with them. I think it has been three years since leaving there and pursuing my musical career. I play music in air conditioned clubs in the summer and outside on gas heated patios in the winter. It is winter now and we do a lot of gigs outside of the local businesses in town and make some good money doing so. I think it basically pays for all of my food and spending money for the month with the gigs I do each week. I could do more HVAC equipment work but I would rather just play more music if I need to make more money. I have my bills pretty low though now so I kind of don’t need to work so much anymore.

I’m all for when great things come one after another.

This doesn’t happen in my life all that often so I love it when it does.

With this heating, ventilation and A/C upgrade, it’s just been all amazing things. After more than 25 years of perfect residential heating, ventilation and A/C, it was time to upgrade the residential heating, ventilation and A/C… Then the seasoned heating, ventilation and A/C unit had started to spike when it came to the air conditioner cost because it had to run all the time to keep up with demand. Of course, that has a big sign our central heating, ventilation and A/C serviceman told us to watch for. So both of us didn’t mess around once both of us saw what the ancient and seasoned heating, ventilation and A/C unit was doing. The only people I was with and I were lucky to have such great heating, ventilation and A/C professionals to help us out when it came to an actual heating, ventilation and A/C upgrade! I actually appreciate the fact that the heating, ventilation and A/C corporation actually listened to our central heating as well as cooling needs. The heating, ventilation and A/C corporation wanted to know what was great about the seasoned heating, ventilation and A/C unit as well as what both of us would love to have more of, however my amazing wife as well as I both wanted an easily efficient as well as sustainable heat pump… But we’re both easily into reducing our carbon footprint as well as both of us wanted a quality heat pump with great heating, ventilation and A/C technology, however both of us also had a budget. The people I was with and I didn’t want to blow up a budget with too much heating, ventilation and A/C technology. After some discussion, both of us came to terms on financing as well as the heating, ventilation and A/C equipment. I have to say I could not be happier with how everything has turned out. But the biggest surprise is just how much we are saving when it comes to air conditioner costs in the summer season as well as heating, ventilation and A/C heating costs in the Winter season.
