Some folks look at silence as something that is frightening that you have to make it through, but I see silence as pleasing and refreshing, i spend some time alone and have figured out that if I make it more enjoyable then it helps me grow as a lady and become a better version of myself.

I used to fill in silences with noise of any kind, however now that I am old I see silence as a good neighbor who helps calm and soothe me, making me a more patient lady in the process.

I work on Heating and Air Conditioning devices on my own sometimes and I find I work better when it is quiet, as I can operate more clearly and operate more efficiently. I was a process engineer back in the Valley in California and I l acquired how to make things work more efficiently, including life. Life is an ongoing process, just care about heating or cooling a room is a process, and it can be made to run far more efficiently if you chop things down to their easy components. I used to work in manufacturing plants back in the Valley and l acquired how to make the processes run as quickly and efficiently as possible. I use the same techniques when working on Heating and Air Conditioning systems or programming a smart thermostat for clients, and it makes for an easier morning at work when you do so. Today I will just clean the HEPA air filter for a client so they think how to do it next time, so it should be a very easy morning for me.

I put an ad online looking for a roommate and I think I may have found the perfect one.

It is this HVAC pro who works in a nearby city at a heating corp and wants to live in this smaller town, as it gives her some quiet time when she comes home from work.

She told me she will go to the HVAC store at 7am and not return home each evening till 7 pm. I will be out at that time and not home until about 10 pm from playing music at this local business, so I don’t even know if I will see her during the weekdays. This will help me a lot having another person share the costs of living in this flat and it will ease up the stress a lot for me. It’s cool that I have someone from the HVAC industry living with me because I am an HVAC worker myself and it gives us something in common to talk about now and then. I work during the day but for only a few hours, so I am home most of the afternoon doing some writing gigs online. I like that the HVAC specialist is not going to be home in the afternoon because I can focus better and get my work done on time. I also do yoga in the living room and it would give me time to get that done each day as well. I am going to head down to the heating and cooling supplier to see if they have the new smart thermostats in stock.

It looks like it is about $800 for a roundtrip ticket to fly from BCN to TPA airports.

I live on the Spanish coast and want to fly back to the Sunshine State to see my family for the holidays but am kind of waiting to see if the flights come down some.

I have to spend a lot on Uber for travel when in the States as I have no car anymore. That can add up to be a lot more money so I need to trim the plane ticket cost first. The air conditioning was so cold last time I traveled that I was sick a week or so after the flight. I hope it isn’t that bad this time but I guess I will find out if I end up going back. It’s a nine hour plane ride and if the climate control system is freezing me out it makes it feel like a 19 hour ride back. I guess I could wear my winter coat on the plane, but if it isn’t cold then I will have the opposite problem. I just bought a nice heavy winter coat from the local business here and it keeps me so warm it is amazing. I like to wear it in my house during the winter so I don’t have to blast my central heating unit so much. It is a bit crazy that we have to resort to things like wearing a jacket in the home, but the energy bills are just way too much when I run my electric furnace too much.

It is still a bit up in the air if I am going to be able to go home for Christmas this year.

It kind of depends on how the market does over the next few weeks as my money is sitting in there and is way down right now.

I really don’t want to touch it now because I will lose a lot of money, especially if it goes up before Christmas like I’ve seen many times. Maybe people get excited around then, as the holidays are approaching, and spend more money on things like stocks and bonds for HVAC companies and other tech sectors. The local businesses usually get busier and people fall in debt like they did the year before. Luckily, I have no more credit cards to put me in debt and my job at the cooling supplier pays all of my bills. I don’t ever want to be in debt again after all the debt I accrued several years ago from shopping too much. I was buying HVAC systems and cars and all kinds of things for my house that I really didn’t need. I think it was just out of boredom from working at the same HVAC contractor year after year and not growing as a person. Now I focus more on doing things I love instead of shopping for mini split AC units in the middle of the winter. I would buy them in the winter and think that I would use it the following summer, when in reality I never did use it. I guess we learn as we go.

I’ve been working about 15 hours a week for the past 25 years and plan on keeping that schedule for another 20 years before I hang up my working boots.

I make a grilled cheese sandwich each morning as a reminder of my dad, who used to eat them each morning for breakfast when I would visit him. I like to eat them with a couple of eggs so that I am getting enough protein for the morning meal. Wow, I am still trying to wake up and it is already past noon, jeez! I drank a coffee earlier at the local business but it didn’t seem to do the trick. I may have a green tea later but no more coffee as it can keep me from sleeping well. The HVAC rep has some really good tea in the heating corp and I like to go there and have some tea with her around the middle of the day. I have a lot of free time on my hands so I need to find ways to fill in the blanks, and it usually involves hanging out at the heating corp and drinking some tea. It may only be 14 more years if I want to tap into my social security check for money. My HVAC tech buddy told me I could collect in six or so years when I hit 62, but I would rather wait till 70 to get the full amount. If I even live that long! Okay, I am off to do a little HVAC equipment repair job with my heating tech buddy.

I am writing about the differences between solar and electric heating in the home.

I have about two more hours of work to do and then I am going to ride my bike up the paseo to visit my friend who lives in a caravan. It’s a small van but very homey and cozy and I like to visit her because she is fun to talk to. The van is parked right across from the sea so there is a great view of the waves and the beach when you look out the window of her van. She works online in the HVAC industry doing HVAC equipment reviews for companies. We both actually work in the field so we have some good topics to discuss when we meet. I met her last year when she was working at the local business near my flat and we’ve been friends since. I have to get my work done today first before I take that ride as I have a lot of stuff to get done in the next couple of hours and need to hunker down and knock it out. I am writing about the differences between solar and electric heating in the home. I can’t wait till the HVAC industry makes all of the HVAC systems run from the sun and wind. I think they will have it down within a couple of years and we won’t have to cringe when the power bills come each month. I am going to make a little food now and then clean my HEPA filter in my central heating and cooling unit then get back to work so I can take that bike ride.
