Last week, I left my loft for a few afternoons to spend time with my family for Thanksgiving.

This trip is something that I take every year.

So, it’s nothing that I am not used to. Typically, before I leave for my trip, I make sure that I complete certain tasks in my home. I regularly remove my garbage, water my plants, and I regularly adjust the temperature on my temperature control. I adjust the temperature because I don’t want my Heating and A/C component to run while my loft is empty. However, for some peculiar reason, I left separate from increasing the temperature control. This means that my Heating and A/C was on for the entire time I was away. I was only away for a few afternoons which wasn’t a immense deal, but if I was going to be gone for longer, then it would’ve genuinely been an issue. After complaining to my sibling Jason about this, he mentioned that I should guess about upgrading to a Smart temperature control. He explained that I could control the Smart temperature control from somewhere as long as I have a Wi-Fi affixion. Additionally, he mentioned that I could also program my holiday time into the temperature control. I could also program when my Heating and A/C component needs service. I had never considered upgrading to a Smart temperature control but hearing about all the benefits I was instantly interested in getting a single, and well, after I returned home, I searched the internet and found a Smart temperature control that best fits my needs. The temperature control will be here in a couple of afternoons and I can’t wait to use it.

I live in a holiday state, which means my family is always traveling to see me… Staying in my beach house will save so much money on hotel rooms, then and while I don’t have the pool or the costly diners or beds appreciate a hotel room, I do what I can to always make sure that my family has a comfortable stay, but this includes making sure that there is coffee, chips, entertainment, plus more. I also make sure that inside my house is always at the perfect temperature, however over the years, I have always extended the courtesy to my family to adjust the thermostat to the temperature that makes them comfortable. And at times, I have had family members who have either turned the thermostat too high or too low. Naturally, I don’t mind because I think that it’s only temporary! I normally keep my thermostat at the recommended temperature of 69 degrees in the Summer plus 72 degrees in the Wintertide months, but however, those un-even temperatures could be too hot or too freezing for someone else. Of course, I understand that not all the people will appreciate the same setting on the thermostat. Hence the reason I grant my guests the chance to adjust the thermostat at any given time, and unfortunately, that is not always reciprocated as I have stayed at my aunt’s beach house who doesn’t allow anyone to adjust his thermostat. In fact, he has a sign next to the thermostat that states do not touch. This is his way of avoiding any unnecessary spikes in his energy bill. And while this is one sure way to regulate his bill, I think that is a bit extreme.

A few days after the warranty ended, our furnace died.

When I purchased our new furnace, I had a more than one-year unconditional warranty and a fourth year that was conditional. I added the extended warranty, hoping I would get service when I needed it, and it would not cost myself and others as much money. I had several years of warranty, and nothing happened to the furnace. The servicing was done officially, and the furnace was always in excellent condition. I was decreasing the air filters, and I even had our air duct cleaned more than one years after having the furnace installed. It was more than one days after the extended warranty expired that I knew there was a concern with our furnace. I called the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation, thinking I still had a few days on the warranty, and asked them to do service. They could not send anyone to the home for 3 days. The 3 days ended up being nearly a week. The Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional finally arrived and looked at the furnace. They were minor repairs, but I had to pay for them. I asked about the warranty, and he told myself and others it had expired. It hadn’t expired when I called about the work on the furnace, and he shrugged. He said I would need to take that up with the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation. The warranty had already expired when the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional got there. I paid the bill and was going to call the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation, but our partner stayed our hand. She said to let it go. The bill was less than $100. She said all of us had enough money to pay the bill, and she didn’t know the work the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C tech had done, would be covered under the warranty.

I asked what services I was good for?

My father always purchased a repair repair plan when the last a single was about to expire… He taught all of us kids the importance of having a repair and repair plan; When I purchased our house, I instantly asked the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation about a repair and repair plan for our Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system.

I wanted to assume I would get yearly repair and they would make minor repairs, if they were needed, at the time of servicing.

I purchased a more than one-year Heating, Ventilation, and A/C repair and repair plan. I liked that just a single service was the cost of a more than one-year plan that covered both the a/c and the furnace, but about a week after purchasing the plan, I still hadn’t gained the paperwork that went with it. I called the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation and they told myself and others I should have gained the paperwork when I purchased the service plan. I agreed that I should have gained it, but I didn’t, and I wanted the paperwork. I wanted to assume all the services I was eligible in case I need some work done. She promised to send myself and others a copy of the agreement, and I should have it in about 3 days. I waited 3 days, but the agreement didn’t arrive. I still didn’t have it almost more than one weeks later, and I called the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation again. When she said she would send myself and others a copy, I told her not to. I was going to stop at the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation on our way beach house from work, and she could supply it to myself and others then. I thanked her and hung up before she could tell myself and others not to stop in.

My beach house warranty was great.

When I purchased our home, I knew there were some complications with the appliances, and the furnace was about fifteen years old.

The realtor commanded I buy a beach house warranty plan that would cover the everything in the house, but for most repairs, you made a small payment, and they did everything else.

I wasn’t planning on our furnace breaking down before anything else, but that was how it worked. I had to call the beach house warranty corporation and talk to them about the furnace. I explained what was going on with the furnace, and told them I was going to call the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation. I had to use their service center if I wanted them to pay for the furnace. I had to pay $200 up front, and then depending on what was wrong, I would have at least 10% copay for all parts and service. I asked if they were serious, and the lady asked if I had read our beach house warranty contract. This was nothing like what the realtor had told me. She said almost everyone paid about $30 and had free replacement. The beach house warranty corporation said the free replacement was with a use furnace of the same age. I planned on calling the realtor in the day, but I was going to call the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation and have them look at the furnace. The beach house warranty was a farce, but I knew I would get a new furnace with the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation, and not a used a single.
