Hoping to help my headaches

I suffer from daily headaches.

There are times I deal with a mild squeezing sensation at the back of my head in addition to other times, the pain progresses into a full-blown migraine.

When the symptoms are at their worst, I’m forced to crawl back in bed. I take an Excedrin, wrap my head in a heating pad and make the room totally black. I have already thrown up or fainted because of these headaches. I can usually trace the reason for them. They can be stress related, due to lack of sufficient sleep or caused by dehydration. I’ve learned that I need to take better care of myself. I’ve also figured out that it’s best to be proactive. At the first sign of a headache coming on, I immediately take pain medication. I then fill up a water bottle in addition to working out. A good sweat helps to minimize and often get rid of the symptoms. I focus on high-intensity aerobics. I make sure to get breathless and work my lungs. I elevate my heart rate in addition to pushing myself until I’m drenched in sweat. Jumping rope, wind sprints, burpees, lunge jumps, squat jumps in addition to mountain climbers are fantastic ways to combat a headache, but for mild headaches, the combination of exercise in addition to hydration are the key to prevention in addition to recovery. However, there are times when the workout entirely worsens the symptoms. Occasionally, jumping around is just awful. I then switch to low impact chances such as static holds. I devote my time to deep stretches in addition to breathing techniques. I’ve found that yoga can be especially beneficial.

My son made a coffee table at school.

To me, my son was perfect.

I was well aware of his bad temper and his stubbornness, but he was and always be my little boy.

When he was in school, he was required to take a woodworking class. He came home one afternoon with a note from the school. In order to do his class project, he needed money to purchase the material to make a small piece of furniture. He chose to make a coffee table for us, and he got to choose the wood he wanted to work with. Apparently, the coffee table came in a kit, because everything was included. He chose an oblong coffee table, and he asked what wood I wanted. I looked at the list I had to choose from and chose the cheapest of the three. I made out the check for the school and sent it, and the paperwork, into an envelope. Three months went by and he was finally talking about the coffee table. He said it was shaping up nicely, and it was just about ready to be sanded and stained. He asked what color stain I wanted, and once again, he gave me the price sheet. After looking at the cost of the new products needed, I was thinking I could have gone to the local furniture store and bought a brand new coffee table for the same price or less. Three weeks later, he asked me to go to school with him. They were having a reveal of the coffee tables all the kids had made. It surprised me to see that his coffee table was the nicest, and I was proud to display it in my living room.

Rustic meets traditional

The beekeeper said he lost a lot of bees during delivery.

When my husband gets into a new hobby, he never forges ahead slowly.

He runs full steam into the task and buys everything he thinks he needs.

Normally, once all the stuff is bought, and he gets all the knowledge, he usually loses interest. Everything sits in the basement or attic until we either sell it or he has found another way to use it. Last month, he switched his interest from bat houses to bee hives. We started with bats because of all the mosquitoes around our house. Our neighbors had a lot of old tires on their property and they attracted the mosquitoes. When he found the bats would eventually try to find solace in the house; he gave up the idea. He thought honey bees would be a better venture. We could have honey for our consumption, and he planned on selling what we couldn’t use. I suggested he start with a small honey bee hive and buy a couple hundred bees to fill it. Instead, he wanted to order 2000 bees and the beehives to house them. He was talking to a beekeeper that lived in our local area. He told him he lost nearly 20% of his bees during delivery. Whenever the truck driver stopped, bees would escape, and they didn’t come back to the beehives. When my husband said he might order more bees, I put my foot down. One beehive to start was enough, and I would not have my entire backyard filled with them. Instead of lowering the amount of honey bees he was ordering, he simply canceled the order. He wanted everything or nothing, and I was happy with that decision.
