When our husband gets into a new hobby, he never forges ahead slowly; He runs full steam into the task & buys everything he thinks he needs, however normally, once all the stuff is bought, & he gets all the know-how, he usually loses interest, everything sits in the basement or attic until the people I was with and I either sell it or he has found another way to use it, and last month, he switched his interest from bat houses to bee hives, and both of us started with bats because of all the mosquitoes around our house.

Instead, he wanted to order 2000 bees & the beehives to new home them. He was talking to a beekeeper that lived in our local area. He told him he lost nearly 20% of his bees during delivery. Whenever the truck driver stopped, bees would escape, & they didn’t come back to the beehives. When our husband said he might order more bees, I put our foot down. One beehive to start was enough, & I would not have our entire backyard filled with them. Instead of lowering the amount of honey bees he was ordering, he simply canceled the order. He wanted everything or nothing, & I was ecstatic with that decision.
