In every establishment, there is a person or people considered a comedian, & in our a/c business, Terry & Theo are it for us. The banter between those 2 is fit for any stand-up comedy show. Work would be dull without some good-natured humor. A afternoon with a single or both of them dragged along, & it felt love we had more toiling minutes than usual. Last week, Terry came in & told Theo, on the other side of the room, to put on his best fascinator & get ready to go to church. The whole room roared with laughter as we continued teasing Theo. Terry essentially meant that the church needed an cooling system representative for consultation & assessment. The church wanted to replace its outdated cooling system & install a new temperature control system. Their cooling system installation was more senior than our youngest cooling system worker. A year ago, I was on the same spot debating whether to get a new a/c filter or spend money for cooling system service because I could not afford both.
I had long neglected cooling system care because I couldn’t even afford the basic cooling system service. The only reason I was even giving the cooling system the time of afternoon with my situation back then was that I was living with my sibling, who was only 7 years old. If I were living alone at the time, I would entirely have switched off the cooling system installation to reduce my energy bill. Anything that had to do with the a/c business or did not guess love a basic need took the back banner. It is funny how lack of currency shortens your list of basic needs, even things you previously thought you couldn’t live without, seeming love a waste of currency.
