What is a fun time for me? Well, doing yoga is a single thing that is great plus kind of exciting too as it gives me a superb yoga buzz once I am finished. I actually believe more in the fun spectrum though and that would be watching a superb beach volleyball match on YouTube while eating some enjoyable fruit. I also enjoy playing the sport, as I am certain you realize by now. Right now it is too boiling to be doing anything outside. I bet that there will be some players out there later though once the weather cools down to some degree. My Heating plus A/C tech acquaintance is going to bring her net this month plus I suppose a few of our other buddies will pop out so every one of us will honestly end up playing ball as every one of us usually do on Mondays. Some of the workers at the local contractor near the beach also play ball so every one of us could end up having a huge group of people out there this month if the weather holds up. I pretty much play with a single guy, Bobby, as we play well together plus end up winning almost all of our games. My HVAC tech friend is going to bring his net today and I think a few of my other friends will pop out so we will probably end up playing ball as we usually do on Saturdays. Some of the workers at the local business near the beach also play ball so we could end up having a big group of people out there today if the weather holds up. I pretty much play with one guy, Nikko, as we play well together and end up winning almost all of our games. I saw an air conditioning van pull up about ten minutes after they cleared out the store, so at that point I knew that it would probably take longer than a few minutes.

I usually go grocery shopping every Sunday afternoon and it’s truly a therapeutic experience for me. I enjoy walking around the store and gathering food for my family and I. This past Sunday when I was at the grocery store, the air conditioning stopped working midway through my trip. I didn’t think it would be a big deal, but apparently not having running air conditioning is a major health code issue and so they had to ask everyone to leave the store while they fixed it. I was a bit agitated and wanted to see how long it would take, so I sat with the air conditioner on in my car for a while to keep me cool. I kept an eye out on the front door of the store to see when they would remove the sign that said their air conditioner was broken. I guess having the air conditioner works to keep some of the foods cool in addition to their refrigerated systems, so this could have been a big issue if it wasn’t resolved right away. I saw an air conditioning van pull up about ten minutes after they cleared out the store, so at that point I knew that it would probably take longer than a few minutes. I decided to leave and come back about two hours later and by that point the issue had been fixed. The time was closer to the evening and it’s a little crazy how different the energy was in the store at this time. I don’t think I enjoy going that late.

I get monthly massages to help with my back pain that I experience working at a desk all day long. Even though I get massages, I still have to stretch and exercise in between my messages to maintain the pain. During my last massage, the air conditioner went out in the spa. The heated table already keeps me warm during a massage, but both my massage therapist and I noticed that it was becoming particularly warmer than usual. She left the room to inquire about it and when she returned, she informed me that the air conditioner had stopped working. She offered to stop my massage and reschedule me at no cost if I wasn’t comfortable continuing the service without the air conditioning, but I really needed the massage so I decided to keep going for it. It was getting really warm and I could tell my body was more sweaty than usual, so she plugged in a small fan to keep us cool. I felt bad that she didn’t have the cool air conditioner to keep her comfortable while she was working, so I asked her if she wanted to stop. Before she could even respond, there was a knock on our door to inform us that the air conditioner had begun working again! At that point I only had about twenty minutes left for my massage, so I fully enjoyed the cool air coming back through. I always like to lay there for a few minutes after the massage to make sure that I fully absorb the energy work that takes place.

I have been attending different yoga studios for many years and I really enjoy getting to know the environment of each one.

One consistent element that I notice most yoga studios opt for is a central HVAC system.

At first I didn’t love having a central HVAC during a yoga session because if you are positioned near an air vent, you may feel the cooled or heated air directly on you and your mat. Unless you are signed up for a hot yoga class, having forced heated air might not be the most pleasurable experience. I think yoga studios prefer central cooling and heating so that they don’t have to worry about the noise of some other cooling and heating options. Air ducts can sometimes be noisy if they aren’t maintained well, and I have definitely heard some noisy ones at some studios throughout my experience. Some yoga studios opt to forgo air conditioning and heating as a whole so that people can be submerged into a pure natural experience where they open up the windows and doors. This is nice if the weather is ideal, but I can imagine some clients would still want the power heat on a particularly hot day. I love doing yoga and meditation and am so thankful that I’ve been able to attend as many studios as I have. I wish that more people trusted in this ancient practice because it’s been completely transformational for me. I absolutely adore being able to connect with myself in deep and meaningful ways through movement and meditation.

There are so many overlooked elements of running a business that can really make or break the experience for both you and your customers.

A small detail I like to mention is the importance of having a working and reliable thermostat. Having a reliable air conditioner is something obvious that someone will need, but I have personally experienced having good A/C and a crappy thermostat. When you don’t have a thermostat that is super reliable, you might find that the temperature in the building doesn’t match the thermostat reading. This may cause you to change the thermostat because you think it is hotter or cooler than it really is, and then you really just create a more uncomfortable environment thinking that you are improving things. This can be really confusing and annoying for everyone, so I recommend triple checking your thermostat option with your air conditioning contractor and making sure they check it during service visits to ensure it is working properly. I personally really enjoy having a SMART thermostat because I can monitor and control the temperature settings for all of my businesses when I’m not there. Running several businesses sounds like a tiresome job and sometimes it really is. I really enjoy it though! The worst part is when tax season comes around the corner at the beginning of the year. I’m lucky that I have such an awesome accountant that helps me manage and keep everything in place.
