Our baseball team is going to be selling raffle tickets this year to try to make money for some travel tournaments. We love going out of town to play in different tournaments because all of our boys really love to win trophies and medals. They all call it hardware, and that always makes me laugh. I know that there is more to life than winning games, but when you are a 10 year old boy, winning a trophy at a tournament is a really big deal. I love it when the kids win at these tournaments, so I want them to have enough money to be able to play a lot of them this year. Anyway, one of our main sponsors is one of the local HVAC companies here in town and the HVAC company has very generously donated a new heating and cooling system as one of the grand prizes for our raffle. When we first found out that they had donated the HVAC system, I was shocked! I mean, this is a really high dollar HVAC system. It is high efficiency and it comes with a smart thermostat system. Not only that, though, but the HVAC company is going to install it for free and then offer a heating and cooling maintenance package for a year to go along with it. It’s really like the best prize that we have ever had at any of our raffles before. I think that we are going to be able to sell a whole lot of tickets and make a lot of money this year!

It’s always so hot up on the top floor of our house that I’m really starting to think that there is something wrong with our air conditioning system up there.
- I have been noticing the higher temperature up there a lot more this summer than I ever have before.
I know that the temperatures outside are a lot hotter this year as a general rule, but I still feel like our air conditioning should be able to handle the heat up there. I guess there might be something wrong with the ventilation system up there, but I don’t really know what to do about it because I don’t know all that much about heating and cooling systems. My ventilation system might need to be cleaned, but I’m not positive about that. I’ve never had the ductwork or the air vents cleaned in the house and that might actually be a part of the problem. Maybe I should look into getting the ductwork professionally cleaned by one of the local HVAC companies here in town. I don’t know what the issues are, but I do know that we need to get the situation with the air conditioning under control up there. It’s really hot and I feel bad that my kids are actually having to sleep up there in the high temperatures. I know that they are probably fine, but it’s a proven fact that you get better, higher quality sleep when you sleep in cooler temperatures. Hopefully, the HVAC company will be able to tell me of a way to get the temperature cooled down up there.

My son is really driving me crazy with his horse.
He really wants to put air conditioning out in the barn, but I think that’s a dumb idea.
I mean, I have never heard of a working barn that has air conditioning in it before. It’s just the silliest thing that I have ever heard of. Animals just don’t need the same sort of air quality that we need inside of our homes. My son just really doesn’t get that, though. He seems to think that his horse is actually a human, too. I am glad that he loves his animals, but this is actually ridiculous. He keeps bugging me about the fact that the temperature in the barn gets too hot during the summer. I hate the high temperatures that we have to deal with around here in this part of the country during the summer, but it is what it is. I keep telling my son that the horses and all of the other animals that we have here on the farm are actually used to the heat and that it doesn’t really bother them at all. He doesn’t seem like he believes me all that much, even though I’m telling the truth! He says that he will be willing to pay for the cooling bills out in the barn if I will just pay to get air conditioning put in out there. I know that it’s a dumb idea, but he does have a lot of complelling arguments and he’s trying to make me feel guilty abou the horse and its lack of air conditioning!

This house didn’t have any air conditioning in it whenever we moved in here several years ago.
I guess that high tech heating and air conditioning weren’t really all that important to the people who lived here at the house before us, but they certainly are to us. We can’t do without central air conditioning, that’s for sure. We moved into this house because we really liked the area and the landscaping. The house was definitely big enough for us, but the fact that it didn’t have air conditioning was somewhat off putting. We knew that as soon as we moved in, we were going to have to hire an HVAC contractor to come and do some work for us. We were definitely not going to be able to live here without central air conditioning, that’s for sure. Both of us are the kinds of people who have to have air conditioning in the summertime. Anyway, we love the house and now that the ductwork is all in, this is basically like our dream house. I am enjoying the fact that we are working on the house a little bit at a time to make the place truly ours. I still can’t believe the fact that the people who lived here before didn’t really have an HVAC system. I don’t understand how people can live without air conditioning during the summer, though. It just gets way too hot around here to deal with that. I’m glad that everything is going to plan for us now. I am really loving the house.
I love the condo association where we live now
I really love the condo association where we live now. It’s so much nicer to live here than it was to live in the house where we used to live. I don’t mean that I like being so much closer to neighbors exactly. It’s not that at all. It’s more about the fact that I don’t have to do any yard work and now when something goes wrong with my heating and cooling system, I don’t have to fix it. That’s honestly the main thing. The HVAC system that we used to have at our old house was terrible. There was constantly something going wrong with it. In the summer, that air conditioning was always messed up in some way or another and it always felt like I was just pouring money down the drain with that thing. I guess that’s actually one of the reasons that we ended up moving to the condos in the first place. I was just sick and tired of being in charge of all of the darn repairs around the house. I guess you get to a certain point in life where you just don’t want to have to fool with things like that anymore. I have definitely reached that point in my life. I just want to live, eat good food, and do what I want. I don’t want to have to worry about things like air conditioning repairs and faulty furnace systems. Living here in the condo community makes all of that possible. If we ever have any issues, I just call them up and they take care of the whole thing.
I didn’t know that a racoon could tear up my air conditioner
I never really thought about the fact that a racoon might be able to tear up the air conditioning unit at our house but that’s exactly what happened to us recently.
- I had started to notice that there was something wrong with our air conditioning system, but I didn’t really do much research into it for a few days because I was too busy.
Then, the weather outside started heating up and the indoor air quality in our house started going down. I noticed that the air conditioning wasn’t cooling the house down like it was supposed to, and so I started looking around to see if I could figure out what the problem was. I did not want to call the HVAC company because I did not want to have an extra bill on my plate this month. Anyway, the air conditioning unit in the house looked like it was perfectly fine, and the thermostat seemed to be okay also. I even changed the batteries to make sure that that wasn’t the issue. Since none of these things seem to be the issue, I ended up going outside to look at the exterior unit for the air conditioner. That’s when I found the culprit! There were scratches and all kinds of things on the exterior air conditioning unit. Apparently, a family of raccoons had taken to playing around on the unit and dropping trash and sticks and all kinds of things down inside of it! I couldn’t believe my eyes. I didn’t know whether to call an exterminator or an HVAC technician.
