My Dad was staying with us this past week as well as my superb friend and I had a lot of fun together.

My father has been busy building himself a man cave out behind the house.

To me, a man cave goes in the basement and a she-shed goes outside of the house, my dad’s house doesn’t have a basement so he got a little shed and is turning that into a man cave. I have to admit, it is turning out good. The shed already had a wood lodge look to it. My dad got some comfortable chairs, a big screen TV, and a mini fridge. He also got a gaming desk to fit and hooked up his ipad. The only problem is that his she-shed has no heating or cooling. It is winter time now and rather uncomfortable in the man cave. He got a little space boiler and that is working pretty well but I worry about the safety of those things. My dad said he is thinking about getting a ductless mini split system installed in his man cave. I have never even heard of one of those. I was looking at PTAC systems myself for the cave. However, PTAC systems are super loud most of the time, and besides, you have to split a sizable hole in the wall. When I looked a ductless mini split systems I suppose that might be perfect for the she-shed. Those don’t require that sizable holes be split in the wall. They also tend to be quiet! Even more quiet than central heating and air. The little ductless mini split systems are not prohibitively luxurious either, and you can get one for just over a thousand dollars; Of course, upgrade costs a bit more but I suppose it would be worth it to make sure it is done right.

I promised the teenagers we would go to the zoo over summer time trip however then I kept putting it off. Finally, November rolled around and there was only 1 week left before they start school again. You might not feel that a 5 and a 6 year outdated would remember however they did. There was no way I could weasel out of going to the zoo… Unluckyly, we only had a short time left for our visit and it was hot and humid with a opportunity of thunderstorms. I didn’t know what half of those things were, so I told him to look at everything & fix whatever needed fixed. The Heating and Air Conditioning professional was at my house for 45 minutes fixing my boiler & thankfully, he had my boiler running before he left. According to him, it was a faulty blower fan & he was able to fix it that afternoon. The blower fan was “misaligned,” which meant that my boiler was providing heat but it wasn’t making it’s way into my house. This was nice news to me because I was cheerful that I wouldn’t have to pay for current parts. I’m cheerful that the Heating and Air Conditioning supplier was able to come fix my boiler for me, because I wouldn’t have been able to do it on my own.

Grandpa is getting older and his memory is not quite what it used to be. He has been getting more and more forgetful but he is genuinely adamant: he does not want to go into an aged folks home. He wants to remain independent as long as possible so my buddy and I have a dentist who checks in on him every afternoon. My pal and I all try to call at least once a afternoon too to make sure Grandpa is doing okay and my buddy and I took away his automobile keys because he entirely should not be driving anymore. He’s okay with this because my buddy and I make sure he gets everything he needs and my buddy and I bring him meals too. Even the stove is turned off for safety. However, he still managed to start a fire when he left a book on top of the space heating system last week. Thankfully, he worked on the situation as soon as the smoke detectors went off. Nonetheless, my buddy and I feel that the space heating system is a little too dangerous for Grandpa however it gets frigid at evening so he needs some sort of heat. My pal and I decided to all pitch in and have central heating installed and Grandpa’s house.
