I like to live a simple life and not have a lot of clutter in my flat.

I don’t have many things left to toss out but when Spring comes I like to do an inventory and see if all of it is necessary to own anymore. Along with the decluttering, I like to clean the HVAC equipment from top to bottom, which includes the ducts, vents, filters, and cooling grills. I’ve done it many times before and am quite good at it now so it doesn’t take me that long to do. I think I could get rid of some clothes that I never wear, now that I think about it. I can hear my robot vacuum cleaner, with its HEPA filter, cruising around my flat picking up all of the debris that settles on the floor over the past day. I run the thing every single day and it picks up dirt and dust every single day. I love walking on nice clean hardwood floors. My furnace has a filter in it but it really doesn’t do much for the air quality in my flat. I think I may buy one of those ozone units to do the job. At the local business they sell ozone air purifiers and I think they are at a good price so I may have to drop down there soon and check them out. I think having a clean house, with good air quality, helps the mind feel cleaner too. I like to live quietly and cleanly like a buddhist monk would do. Have a good day, namaste.

I can’t wait to get my robot vacuum cleaner tomorrow.

It has a HEPA filter to grab all of the dust settled on the floor, which seems to accumulate every day more and more.

I can’t believe that all of this dust comes into the house like that, it’s quite incredible. I am thinking about getting an air purifier too so I can breathe clean air without all of this dust floating around. I need to google that and see how all of the dust gets into a house that is completely sealed and closed from the outside. Maybe the dust is in my HVAC equipment and I need to clean the ductwork and vents and such. The dust could possibly be in all of the furniture such as sofas and armchairs, which are mainly made of fabric which can hold a lot of dust. Maybe I should get all plastic furniture and clothing! I guess a few good HEPA filters is all I need as there is really no way of stopping dust from getting into the house. I’ll go down to the local business today which sells HVAC equipment and ask them about dust getting into the house. They will probably tell me to just get an air purifier in which case I’ll tell them that I already bought one from them a few years back, but that I tossed it out because I didn’t think I needed it anymore. I’m sure they forgot seeing that they have several hundred customers. Maybe they have a sale on them now though so I should check the prices out.

I think today is our last really cold day as I see the weather tomorrow is supposed to warm up to about 70F. I can finally turn off my smart thermostat and give it a rest because I don’t think I will be needing any more heat in my flat. I like to sleep with my bedroom window open, even when the weather gets down to the point of freezing, because I am a hot sleeper and I like to be cool when sleeping. When I was younger I used to sleep with a space heater in my bedroom during the winter, until I discovered that my body is a very good heater itself. I guess the older you get the more you understand how your body works, we’re not all the same. Now I could actually run my air conditioner in the winter while I sleep because my body produces so much heat from all of the exercise I do each week. I don’t do this of course because it’s a lot easier, and cheaper, to just open the window and let mother nature do her own cooling for me. I’ve wasted a lot of money in my life on things like power bills and whatnot, but you need to circulate money out there to get money to come back into your life. The HVAC company really helped me out with my power bills with all of the help they gave me on energy saving tips around the house. I should go down there today and pay them a visit.

My furnace went on the fritz last week and I had to call the HVAC company to come out and repair it.

I have a service plan with them so it shouldn’t cost me anything but I hope they are able to fix it today so I am not freezing cold here another day.

It’s been below zero out and my flat doesn’t have the best insulation so it has been quite frigid in this place and my hands have been suffering because my circulation isn’t so good in them. If they can’t repair the furnace today I am going to have to buy a small portable radiant space heater to keep me warm in the meantime. It’s only during the day that I need to run the heat because my bedroom is small and when I sleep it gets nice and warm in there under my three blankets. I think they have a sale now on heaters because winter is coming to an end pretty soon and they need to clear their stock of winter HVAC equipment. I’m not sure how much they cost but I am willing to spend up to two hundred bucks on one. Hopefully the HVAC techs will be able to fix the furnace and I won’t have to spend a dime. I’ve lost so much money on cryptos with impatient choices that I really don’t have much left in savings for things like space heaters. I need to learn to be more patient or I’ll end up homeless. Maybe I can get a part time job at the local HVAC business stocking shelves or something.

I have a big crypto mining rig in my office that acts as a space heater, which is fine during the winter, but when summer is here the rig is at risk of overheating and breaking down.

I didn’t realize this when I started mining but now I understand how much power it really does consume.

I had to buy a small portable mini split air conditioner for my office to keep the room cool and my power bills have gone up quite a bit. I still make money with the mining but don’t like all of the power I am consuming. It’s just not good for the environment and I may just stop mining altogether because of it. The air conditioning contractor is happy with my portable AC purchase but I just don’t sleep too well now knowing I am using all of this power. I think I may get back into teaching beach volleyball as soon as the weather warms up and quit mining and sell my rig. I could still use the portable AC unit because I don’t like to run my central air conditioner all day if I can help it and I spend most of my time in the office anyways. It is quite energy efficient and runs very quietly so I don’t mind running it most of the day. I just stopped using my electric furnace because the cold weather is shifting to warm now that we are in the middle of April. It’s been a long cold winter and I am ready for summer.

It still feels like a dream that I will be going home in a week.

I haven’t seen my mom in almost two and a half years, and seeing that I used to see her a few times a week, this is going to be an epic reunion with my dear lovely momma.

I just want to give her a big hug and never let go because I know that she won’t be around one day to do it again. The guy at the heating dealership has his mom working there and I go and talk to her sometimes just to feel like I have a mom here. I’ve been living overseas for six years because I could no longer take the fast pace of the American lifestyle. I just had an air conditioner tune-up done recently and it cost me about a third of what it would have cost me in America. Everything there costs more and I just got tired of trying to keep up with it all. The heating contractor here works very hard for very little money but the cost of living is so much less here that he has no problem paying his bills each month. I think the people who work in restaurants here get about $4 or $5 per hour, a joke in American standards of pay. I am about to replace my propane boiler with a steam boiler because they told me that it is more efficient and more reliable. I think I will have the pros come and do it for me next week.
