Whenever I was getting ready to go somewhere, the warning signal on our smart control unit told myself and others it was time to change the air filter.
Changing the air filter didn’t take a long time, however it could be absolutely messy.
I had once ignored the warning on the control unit. Every twenty seconds there was a beep, followed by the warning that it was time to change the air filter. I swore I would never do that again. It awakened myself and others about more than nine times before I went outside in our pajamas & changed the air filter at midnight. I knew I had to find a better way to remember to change the air filters. The first thing I had to do was disengage the reminder in the control unit. If I wasn’t able to disengage the alarm, I was going to disengage the smart control unit. I knew it would be easier to buy a new control unit than to listen to that alarm going off & having sore ribs from our spouse poking myself and others to take care of the air filter alarm. I was looking for anything I could find that would help myself and others to remember how to change the air filter separate from dismembering our control unit. I got up one day, & our spouse had a calendar resting on the table in our eating spot. Every month had a date circled for when & which equipment needed to have the air filter changed. She even noted when it was time to have the maintenance done on the A/C & the oil furnace. She’s better than the control unit.
