You know, you do the best that you can to be an enjoyable, humorous, pleasant human being… and sometimes it just doesn’t work out.
I don’t know if I’m completely socially inept or what the deal is, but oftentimes my brain gets out of order and so do my outward behaviors.
This tends to push people away and leaves me feeling like a total failure. It’s especially difficult when you’re trying to establish and maintain professional relationships in this challenging modern world. I only realized this the hard way, after my heating, cooling, and air quality control system went off the deep end and I had no one to call for help. I woke up one day and realized that my indoor air was feeling stagnant, uneven, and moist. I tried to mess with the thermostat, but nothing was changing. I couldn’t get the AC unit or the furnace to engage, even when I turned the air quality control system completely on and off. I wound up googling all sorts of search terms for “broken heating and cooling system,” “no indoor air quality control,” “AC and furnace won’t work.” None of my heating and cooling DIY efforts helped the indoor air quality, though. Finally, I called the local indoor air temperature control system repair shop and asked for an emergency repair service. I was shocked when the receptionist at the HVAC service shop simply told me they had no available heating and cooling workers to send out to my home. After pressing the HVAC receptionist further, she revealed that my usual heating and cooling tech no longer wanted to come out to the house. Why? Because I was always annoyingly talking about my DIY repair ideas while he dedicatedly worked on the heating and cooling system that I would inevitably break again.
