I had lived with my aunt Ruby from when I was a child.

She was the kindest person that gave to those around her wholeheartedly.

When mom passed on when I was a child, the family had been stranded until aunt Ruby opted to stay with me. She was known for helping other kids get through life as this was her life calling. She treated me as her kid right from the word go. I lacked for nothing, and went to the best private schools, courtesy of her. Unfortunately, due to age she had grown frail and was no longer her active self. I had tried my best to convince her to come with me to the city but she refused. She had planned this part of her life early and didn’t want to be a burden to me. Reluctantly, I took her to the nursing home of her choice. I made sure that she was given preferential treatment just to feel content with this move. I would have preferred to take care of her myself but Aunt Ruby didn’t want to hear of it. The one afternoon I visited her and found out that her room was hot and stuffy, I couldn’t hold back the tears. Of course she couldn’t complain despite the struggle she clearly had. I talked to the management to understand why my aunt’s room had no air conditioner. The nursing home was running on a tight budget and had to compromise on their things. I anonymously donated to help them get a portable window AC for each room. The idea was to convince my company to help with the entire HVAC system revamp as part of our social responsibility. If yu live with my mom even for a single day then you will understand what it means to plan everything in life. I don’t remember a day when mom spontaneously did anything. She would have a list for everything, even fun activities. Asked her why she preferred to live like this and her response was quite interesting. Planning helps ensure failure is eliminated. Well, it could be true since nothing she didi ever failed anyway. So this one time she was scouting for a new HVAC contractor for our vacation home. It was a lakehouse she and dad had recently acquired as they planned to make it their retirement home. We would come here during some of the holidays just to go fishing and unwind in the wild for a few days.The HVAC unit was acting up one of the holidays we were there and mom was determined to have it fixed before we left. She went online to see what HVAC businesses advertised in the locality. After writing the numbers of a few service providers, she then came up with a list of what she wanted in an HVAC professional. First the contractor had to be licensed, and certified. She did not want anything going wrong in her home. She also wanted an HVAC tech that has an insurance cover. If these check out then she can consider their experience, expertise, and professionalism. Next she needed an HVAC expert that values customer service and one that communicates different options to their customer. Well, you can trust my mom to set very high standards. Surprisingly, things always go her way no matter how tough the restrictions she puts are. She interviewed a few service providers and settled for Sam who was the owner of one of the oldest HVAC companies in the area.

I was in urgent need of a professional that could get the work done and I did not want to waste any time.She sent me her HVAC serviceman but I had to cater for the gas since he had to drive a few miles away from my new apartment to serve me.
