Earlier today I had the heating and AC technician come out to my home. When he came out I was expecting it to just be one heating and AC worker but there was actually a team of four different HVAC technicians that came to my house! This surprised me because I wasn’t sure why they would need so many people but then I remembered what I had them coming over here for, I had recently purchased a brand new heated flooring system. I live in a very cold climate and because of this I want to have as much heat in my home as possible. I already have an electric fireplace, and an amazing space heater that always does a very good job of keeping me warm throughout the coldest of winters. But even though these devices do an excellent job of heating the air, what they don’t do is heat the floors and that is what I need a radiant heated flooring heating system for. The radiant heated flooring works like this, there is a heating element that is installed by the heating and AC technicians underneath the floorboards. Then the floorboards are put back in place. The heating element is super super thin and you can hardly notice that it was ever placed underneath the floorboards to begin with. The installation didn’t take nearly as long as I thought, with four heating and AC workers going at it and installing this radiant heated flooring system they were done in only a half an hour. I couldn’t believe how fast it was and then I was able to turn on the heated floors and see how it worked. My feet felt warm and toasty from the warm floor beneath them.

When I first got my brand new air conditioning system I was not expecting it to be as excellent at cooling as it was.

• I remember I went down to the heating and AC company that Sunday.

My heating and air conditioning business is open all seven days of the week, I guess they want to get as many customers as possible. Anyways I went down there just to pick up a few extra air filters from my HVAC unit, when I saw that off to the side by the front door is where you come in that there was an entire shelf full of items that were 80% off. These were items that the heating and AC business was getting rid of because they were outdated and they had much newer and nicer heating and AC systems on the shelves now. Anyways my curiosity got the rest of me and I decided to go over there and take a look at these items on the shelf. I saw an old air conditioning system, and I had been needing an AC system and so I decided to go ahead and pick it up. I couldn’t beat the price so I figured what did I have to lose? Well imagine my surprise when I got the air conditioning system home and it worked even better than my nice window AC unit that I had. This unit that I got from the heating AC store was also a window AC unit but it was a much older window AC in it. Most people were getting rid of the old units but I see why some people choose to keep them around. Despite their age they still do an excellent job keeping your home cool.

I need to scrub the floor in my office, or better yet, have my little robot vacuum cleaner do the dirty work for me.

I just need to transfer some stuff out of the way because a lot of our band components and gear are littering the office floor.

Then I will put my robot to work in this room for 20 minutes and let it scrub the floors all up after a few weeks of neglect… My cats are having fun right now playing with the new Amazon bags that arrived, as for some reason they like heating, ventilation and A/C filters that arrive in loud paper bags. I guess cats like to make noise and like the sound of things when they play with them, so they are doing their thing while I do mine in the office. I should also be done with my heating and cooling system work soon and after that I will get this room cleaned up, along with the rest of the house for that matter. I’m a bit under the weather today but there is just nothing going on in this town right now except for a bunch of sunbathers frying their skin in the Summer sun. It is heating up quite a lot out there and it won’t be long before my great friend and I need to run the air conditioning to cool this flat down. My buddy and I have to solve my flatmate’s unhappy dog issue too, as it meows all night last night, keeping me awake for most of the night. The cooling supplier offered my flatmate the dog and now I guess I know why!

Today is a day of being grateful for what I have as I lie in bed with the flu.

• I could fret about this flu I have and guess everything is a mess, but what great would that do for me in my recycling from this thing? I have great health in general and a few great friends floating around town here to keep me company, along with a nice flatmate and flat to live in with two friendly cats to boot.

I am also grateful for being able to play music and make people happy in weather controlled bars and on the beaches and streets in town. I care about playing music and have a lot of fun when I do, and I also have another passion with beach volleyball, although my afternoons are kind of numbered in that interest at 56 years old. The local business has a tournament once in a while here and I won two of them, but then quit playing when I dissituated my shoulder in the seventh one. I work a lot with my heating, ventilation and A/C tech lady on heating and cooling systems and get a lot of time off to work on my music or just chill, which is another thing I am entirely grateful for. I am also grateful for the care of an attractive soul in my life to keep me company on my journey to wherever I am headed. I will keep working for the local business to put food on the table while I chase my dreams of playing in a punk rock band, send me an advantage please and I’ll send some your way too.

Last night was one of the worst afternoons my flatmate and I have had in the past six months.

Her exhausting dog was meowing all night outside my kitchen door, keeping me awake the whole night as my new flu started to set in.

I had to transfer her dog to the kitchen and transfer my cats to the office so they wouldn’t fight, which ended in disaster as my cats went all over my floors and bedding in the office from the lack of a litter box; so this day was not so fun, but my heating, ventilation and A/C system cleaned up the odors pretty quickly and my whole house air purifying device took care of the rest. I just stayed calm and asked my flatmate if she could help scrub the stuff off of the sheets and scrub them all in entirely warm water. I don’t want to run the weather control system all the time so my great friend and I will need to figure out how to stop this from happening again in the future so the house doesn’t get all messed up again like last night. Her dog is not certainly happy and it cries a lot when stuck in the kitchen all day, which has become its self induced prison from fear of my cats. My residential cooling supplier told me that her dog was hurt somehow when it was younger and just has trust troubles. My cats are entirely nice and just want to be friends with her cat, so it is entirely upsetting that they can’t all be friends and hang out together.

Trying to write articles with a splitting headache is no walk in the park, however I have to stick to my routine or I risk falling behind on my schedule.

I have to write a few more today and after that I am going to close the old Chromebook and call it a day, mainly resting and doing yoga and meditation the remainder of the day. I guess my own mind is telling me that I need to get a better handle on the ruminating thoughts with this cold I just got last night. I felt it when I cleaned my HEPA filter last night before bed and now I am feeling even worse, but my whole-house air purifier is cleaning the air and hopefully that helps with my reuse; I am living far away from my mom and her healing hands and now is when I entirely miss her the most. I just want to be at her house in front of the fireplace with a cup of chicken soup and an afghan, while her whole house whole-house air purifier hums in the background. I also guess I am here for a reason though and need to be my own mom and be kind to myself while my body and immune system does their thing and gets me well again. I am turning on the air conditioning soon because it is heating up outside to the point that warrants some weather control in the flat, especially on afternoons like this when I am feeling a bit less than ideal. I’ll get better soon and life will all fall into place again.
